To the participants of the conference

  1. Tourist fee

    The amount of the tourist/hotel fee depends on the hotel category and type of accommodation. For foreigners in Uzbekistan, it is $4-5 (50-65 thousand soums) per day per person. In some hotels, the amount may be slightly higher or lower.

    The tourist/hotel fee may be included in the price of the hotel. At the same time, some of the units show the price without a tourist fee, and it must be paid separately at the reception. Therefore, please specify this point when booking!

  2. Currency

    For Russian citizens, the safest option now is to have cash or dollars.

    The situation with bank cards is unstable: some UnionPay cards of Russian banks work, some do not, it all depends on the bank, the terminal and the acquiring bank of the hotel. Therefore, it is better to have cash or cards of foreign (non-Russian and non-Belarusian) banks with you.

    Rubles and dollars can usually be exchanged at banks and large hotels in Tashkent.

  3. Visa

    Citizens of the Russian Federation do not need a visa to Uzbekistan, entry is carried out using a foreign passport.

    It is important to keep in mind that a simplified procedure applies to citizens of the Russian Federation: you can stay in Uzbekistan for up to 15 days without registration. If the stay exceeds 15 days, registration is already required.

    At the same time, the receiving party recommends that you still get a check-in at the hotel, registration must be saved. Usually, the hotel itself issues a temporary registration of a foreigner through the Emehmon system and issues either a paper confirmation or an electronic registration.

  4. Additional recommendations:

    • If the accommodation is not in a hotel, but with friends / in an apartment, registration must still be completed.;
    • When you change hotels, the new hotel usually automatically makes a new registration.;
    • It is advisable to keep reservations, receipts, boarding and check-in until the end of the trip;
    • In Tashkent, local SIM cards and taxi services, including Yandex Go Uzbekistan, usually work without problems.;
    • Currency exchange is best done through official banks or exchange offices.
